Why Hypnosis?

Hypnosis, as a form of therapy, is still widely misunderstood.  Simply put, it’s a state of focused relaxation where we can bypass the critical mind to access the subconscious mind in order to facilitate positive change.  It’s not magic.  It’s not entertainment.  It’s a proven therapeutic method that is effective and safe.  Here are a few more things about hypnosis…

Hypnosis IS:

A heightened state of focus in which the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed, natural state while the subconscious mind remains very alert and receptive to positive suggestions for change.

It’s a state of deep relaxation where you’re conscious of everything that’s happening and in complete control.  It feels like meditation.

A proven therapeutic process that’s safe and effective in order to help clients achieve their goals.

Hypnosis IS NOT:

Mind control.  When most people think of hypnosis, they think of “stage hypnosis” where a participant is instructed to do silly things.  That is not hypnotherapy.

Entertainment or magic.  You won’t (change/quit behavior/habit) unless you really want to. You can’t be forced to do anything and you’re in complete control.

Used to do anything against your free will or ethics
